Hey guys :)
I decided to show you a photo of my humble self.
Okay... that's me. Fine. Done. Now some more interesting stuff:
Imagine: Goethe (yeah, great buddy!) would have made some music to his masterpiece "Faust"... and then he went on stages with a cool band, which gave him the beat and he started to rap. This thought came just into my head. Don't ask me why... sometimes it's just weird. But anyway.. you know what comes out, when he would have done it this way? Right: probably the longest rap in music history! Isn't it crazy, that Goethe was able to tell a long story in rhymed verses? I think, "Faust" is one of his best works. Whatever.
I want to introduce you to another quite awesome music group. They prove with their sound, that classic literature isn't only boring and annoying.
The name of this group is "Nobody Knows". They come from Stendal (a German town near by Magdeburg). They compose their own music and sing their interpretation of those old and traditional lyrics from European and transatlantic countries. It's fun to visit concerts of them and to forget the dull routine of everyday life. In the past my favourite song was "Bella Ciao" (and still it is). But it's really hard to say, what their best interpretation is. I like the lyrics from Goethe, Heine and Vogelweide but this band also takes you back to 15th century in France or other eras in history. So Nobody Knows composed a song to Francois Villon's work. He was an important author from France.
